Congratulation to East Gate Lodge!

Tuesday night was very exciting. Like many third Tuesdays, East Gate Masons gathered to open their regular meeting but tonight was different. Tonight we had a special agenda. The meeting opened at 7pm and after dispensing with some community needs we closed, threw on our winter coats and carpooled down to 9th & Harrison to reclaim what was rightfully ours.

With WM Dan in the lead we surprised the men of Temple Gate Lodge #299. Fifteen of us fine East Gaters walked in and made our presence know. Our goal for the night was achieved. We were given the Traveling Gavel to bring back to East Gate Lodge #630. Way to go East Gate, now let’s keep our meeting attendance up so we don’t have to give it back.

Happy Holidays Brethren,

As we head toward the Christmas Holiday I want to wish each and every one of you a very Happy and Joyful Season. I would also like to take this time to remind each and every one of you that we will be continuing the tradition of a hearty Lodge dinner on the second Sunday of each month. Now, I don’t claim to be “Iron Chef” worthy but with a little luck and some help I believe the lodge members, family and friends will be well fed and happy. So remember, grab your pen and mark it on your calendars for the second Sunday of each month and come out and support our Lodge.

Brethren,

We have some exciting activities planned for the Lodge this year. We will be have Masonic Education during the first meeting for the first seven months. The education program each month will focus on one of the groups which compose the East Gate Masonic Family. If you would like to expand your Masonic Light, please join us for one (or more!) of these exciting presentations!

OCTOBER…..Ladies’ Oriental Shrine of North America (LOS)
NOVEMBER…..Order of the Eastern Star
DECEMBER…..SOOB
JANUARY…..The International Order of the Rainbow for Girls
FEBRUARY…..The York Rite of Freemasonry
MARCH…..The Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry
APRIL…..The Shriners of North America

(Remember the first Tuesday each month is a dinner meeting please let the office know if you will be having dinner)

Mardi Gras party (Cajun style) in February (shrimp, crawfish, jambalaya, and blackened chicken.).

Motorcycle run
East Gate Family Cook Book. We will need recipes from you and your wives. Please submit these to us via e-mail (wm@eastgatelodge.com) or by mailing them to the Lodge.
